Don't Be Frightened
After a devastating fire at a Newmarket racing stable, Lucy wakes in hospital to learn she was rescued by Rory Fitzwilliam: handsome, attentive, and almost too perfectly kind. Haunted by the voices in her head and the childhood guilt she has never escaped, Lucy wants to believe Rory is the protector he appears to be. But as he draws closer, the world around her begins to shift in ways she cannot explain—and every doubt only makes her seem more unstable.
